The unit works to hold a high line to squeeze the space in the middle of the pitch.

The midfield consists of a double pivot tasked with controlling the center and protecting the back four. Γαλανόπουλος and Μόντσου operate in the central zones to shield the defense. Γαλανόπουλος works to intercept passes and win the second ball, while Μόντσου carries the ball forward to connect the defensive and attacking lines. This duo must stay compact to prevent the opposition from playing through the middle.
