Starting Lineup

Διούδης · Τεχέρο · Φαμπιάνο · Άλβαρο · Φρύντεκ · Γαλανόπουλος · Μόντσου · Μορουτσάν · Μισεουή · Σίστο · Μορόν

Aris aims to play a high intensity game built on rapid transitions and heavy verticality. This lineup uses a 4-2-4 formation to stretch the pitch and pin the opposition defense back. The goal is to use the wide areas to create mismatches and hit the opponent with four attackers once the ball is won.

Διούδης stands between the posts to organize the back line. Aris operates with a flat back four where Τεχέρο and Φρύντεκ act as full backs to provide width when the team moves forward. In the center, Φαμπιάνο and Άλβαρο form the defensive core. Φαμπιάνο acts as a ball playing defender to start attacks, while Άλβαρο stays deep to cover space and win headers. The unit works to hold a high line to squeeze the space in the middle of the pitch.

The midfield consists of a double pivot tasked with controlling the center and protecting the back four. Γαλανόπουλος and Μόντσου operate in the central zones to shield the defense. Γαλανόπουλος works to intercept passes and win the second ball, while Μόντσου carries the ball forward to connect the defensive and attacking lines. This duo must stay compact to prevent the opposition from playing through the middle.

The attacking force is split into two banks of two to maximize the threat. Σίστο and Μορουτσάν act as wide wingers who stay close to the touchline to pull the defenders apart. Μισεουή and Μορόν operate as a central partnership. Μισεουή works to hold up the ball and link up play with the wingers, while Μορόν looks to make runs in behind to exploit gaps. This front four focuses on pressing from the front to force a long ball from the opposition.

One major advantage for Aris is the ability to create wide overloads when the full backs join the attack. The formation also allows for immense speed of transition, as the four attackers can immediately sprint forward once the double pivot wins possession. This setup forces the opposition to defend a large amount of space across the width of the pitch.

This 4-2-4 formation provides a heavy offensive presence designed to overwhelm opponents in transition. It is best suited for games where the team needs to play directly and exploit high lines.
