Starting Lineup

Cubo is tasked to overlap the winger, while Christian can tuck in to help the central defenders. Said and Ricardo form the heart of the defense, with Said acting as a ball playing defender to help play out from the back. Ricardo must focus on his positioning to cover the space if the line steps up. The unit works together to hold a compact shape and protect the central areas.

In the middle of the pitch, a three-man midfield provides the link between the defense and the attack. Ander plays as a single pivot to shield the defense and recycle possession. Deibys and Fajardo operate as the two central midfielders, with Deibys looking to drive forward with the ball and Fajardo acting as a carrier to progress through the thirds. This midfield group works to press in a mid-block and disrupt the opponent's buildup. They aim to win the second ball to keep the pressure high.

The attacking front line consists of three players tasked with stretching the defence. Aarón and Mino play as wide wingers, with Aarón positioned on the left and Mino on the right. Both players look to cut inside to create goalscoring chances or pull wide to spread the play. Widman operates as a lone striker, acting as a pressing centre-forward to harass the opposition centre-backs. The attack moves in combinations, with the wingers looking to get to the byline and deliver crosses into the box for Widman.

One major strength of this PSG lineup is the ability to press high in coordinated waves to force a long ball from the opponent. The formation also creates wide overloads when Cubo and Christian push forward to support the wingers. This allows the team to pin the last defender and create space in the channels.
