Inter focuses on being extremely hard to break down by staying compact and waiting for the right moment to strike, utilizing a 5-4-1 formation. This lineup is built to play a defensive game where the team stays behind the ball and relies on quick transitions to catch opponents off guard. The tactical identity is centered on a low block that forces the opposition into mistakes.

Saige sits between the posts to command the area and organize the unit. The defensive unit works in a back five with Poxmelator acting as the central man to hold the line and win headers. Lalcina and Polaritype sit on either side as the wide centre-backs to cover the space and protect the central zone. Katsushiln and Configure operate as attacking wing backs to provide width in possession, but they must track back to form a narrow defensive block when the opposition moves forward. This group works together to defend zonally and squeeze the space.

In front of the defense, a four man midfield provides a shield to protect the back five. Joker and Lebron occupy the central spaces to shield the defence and win the second ball. NK (C), acting as the captain, operates from the right side to connect the defensive and attacking lines, while Rena stays on the left to help cover the flank and press in a mid-block. The midfield aims to intercept passes and move the ball forward to the striker as quickly as possible.

The attack relies on a lone striker, HyperS, who must hold up the ball to allow the rest of the team to move up the pitch. Because there is only one forward, HyperS has to press from the front to disrupt the opposition back line. The team looks to hit in behind on the transition by using the wide runs of Configure and Katsushiln. When Inter wins the ball, they aim to spread wide to find the wingers or use the central players to play through the lines.

This formation offers significant compactness when defending, making it difficult for opponents to find space to pass. Another strength is the ability to create wide overloads when Configure and Katsushiln push high up the pitch. The team can also exploit speed of transition to catch a high line out of position and hit the opponent with quick vertical passes.

The 5-4-1 formation is a defensive lineup designed to absorb pressure and strike on the break. This formation is best suited for matches against teams that dominate possession where Inter can sit deep and counter at pace.
