Morgan and Great work to shield the defence and intercept play to stop the opposition from progressing through the thirds. Iye micheal and Precious play higher up to connect the defensive and attacking lines. Iye micheal and Precious look to carry the ball forward, probe the defensive lines, and find the feet of the striker. This pairing provides the vital link to turn defensive wins into attacking opportunities.

In the final third, Cesena employs two forwards in a partnership with OBI Richie and .... OBI Richie can hold up the ball to allow the midfield to push up, while .... looks to knock it in behind the defensive line. They work together to combine in tight spaces and create chances through quick movements. The two forwards press from the front to force a long ball and keep the play away from the goal.
