Boca aims to control games through high pressing and quick verticality using a 4-3-3. This formation allows the side to stay compact while creating many passing lanes to move the ball forward. By staying high up the pitch, Boca looks to win the ball back immediately after losing it to keep the opposition under constant pressure.

In goal, CORDOBA acts as the first point of attack to play short from the back. The back four functions as a flat line that can step up to set the offside trap. AIMAR plays as a right back who looks to overlap the winger, while JOGADOR provides balance on the left side. In the center, PEDRI and PELUSA work as a central defensive pair, with PEDRI acting as a ball playing defender and PELUSA providing cover to sweep behind the line.

The midfield operates with a three-man midfield with a carrier in the center. SHAFTER sits in the middle to shield the defence and recycle possession when the game slows down. To his sides, JORGE and BOWIE act as inverted eights who connect the defensive and attacking lines. JORGE works to press aggressively to win the ball high, while BOWIE makes late runs into the box to add a threat from deep. These players must work together to compress the midfield and deny the turn to the opponent.

The attacking unit utilizes three attackers across the front to stretch the defence. HUNDER operates as a pressing centre-forward to pin the last defender and hold up the ball for others. On the flanks, GSN and LUKE act as inverted wingers who cut inside to create space for the full backs. This movement allows the team to build attacks through combinations in tight spaces or to hit in behind on the transition. GSN and LUKE also look to isolate a one-on-one wide to create direct goal threats.

This formation offers Boca several tactical advantages. The setup allows for a high press in coordinated waves to force a long ball from the opposition. By using inverted wingers, the team creates wide overloads from overlapping full backs like AIMAR and JOGADOR. This creates numerical superiority in the final third and allows the side to spread wide quickly to switch play.

The 4-3-3 provides a heavy offensive presence through constant movement and high pressing. This lineup is best suited for facing teams that struggle to play out from the back under pressure.
