Racing Club aims to control the game through high pressing and quick transitions using a 3-5-2. This formation is built to dominate the central areas of the pitch while using wide players to stretch the opposition. The lineup allows the team to stay compact while remaining ready to strike in the moments when the ball is won back high up the pitch.

F. Cambeses operates between the posts to provide stability. The back three consists of Di Cesare as the right centre-back, S. Sosa as the central defender, and M. Rojo on the left. Di Cesare acts as a covering defender while S. Sosa holds the line and manages the aerial duels. M. Rojo provides experience in the defensive unit, often stepping up to intercept passes. The defensive unit works together to squeeze the space and maintain a high line to keep the team compact.

The midfield relies on a central core to link the defense and the attack. C. Alcaraz plays as an attacking ten behind the strikers, looking to find space between the lines. J. Nardoni and Almendra operate in the central roles, with J. Nardoni working to win the second ball and Almendra driving forward to carry the ball into the final third. Martirena and G. Rojas occupy the wide areas as wing backs, tasked with providing width and tracking back to help the back three. Martirena and G. Rojas must balance their roles by pushing high to support the attack and dropping deep to defend.

Racing Club uses two forwards in a partnership to pressure the opposition back line. N. Maupay and M. Martínez work together to harass defenders and make runs in behind. N. Maupay often uses his pressing intensity to force mistakes, while M. Martínez looks to hold up the ball and link play with the advancing midfielders. The attack is built through combinations in the half spaces, often using the width provided by Martirena and G. Rojas to create crossing opportunities or to pull defenders away from the center.

A major strength of this Racing Club lineup is the ability to press high in coordinated waves to win the ball back quickly. The numerical superiority in the central midfield allows the team to control possession and recycle play through the middle. Furthermore, the wing backs provide wide overloads that can isolate defenders in one on one situations when they push high.

This 3-5-2 formation is designed for a team that wants to dominate through central control and intense pressing. It is best suited for matches against opponents who struggle to play out from the back or those who leave space behind their midfield.
