Grillitsch and Schöpf occupy the central spaces to connect the defense to the attack, with Grillitsch providing a reliable passing range to switch play. R. Schmid plays as an attacking ten, operating in the pockets behind the striker to create chances and break the line with through balls. This dense middle section allows the team to control the tempo and dominate the center of the pitch.

The attacking trio is designed to stretch the opposition and create chaos in the box. Wurmbrand and Florucz operate as wide attackers, with Wurmbrand cutting inside to create overloads and Florucz looking to use his pace on the flank. One major advantage of this formation is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, making it very difficult for opponents to pass out from the back.
