Henrique operate as a double pivot to shield the two center backs, with Vanderson often looking to drive forward. Pogba and Zakaria play in the half spaces to break lines with their passing and energy, providing a link between the defense and the attack. Golovin operates as the attacking midfielder, tasked to find pockets of space and create chances for the forwards.

The attacking unit uses three players to stretch the opponent and pin them back. Ansu Fati and Akliouche occupy the wide areas as inverted wingers, looking to cut inside and shoot or cross into the box. Biereth leads the line as a lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and make runs into the channels. This trio presses high, forcing defenders into mistakes and winning the ball close to the opponent goal.

This formation offers great numerical superiority in the middle of the park, making it hard for opponents to pass through. Monaco can use the wide movements of Ansu Fati and Akliouche to create overloads when Vanderson pushes up.
