RFS relies on a high press and rapid verticality to disrupt opponents, operating primarily from a 5-2-3 formation. This lineup is built to stay compact while using wide areas to stretch the opposition. The goal is to win the ball high up the pitch and quickly move it into the final third to catch the defense out of position.

Valtreidis acts as the last line of defense in goal. Behind a back three, Barineks sits in the center to command the area and cover space. Giovskis stays on the right of the central trio while Svertinski holds the left side to ensure a solid block. Slamnieks and Thoraldsson function as wing backs who provide the width, with Slamnieks pushing up on the right and Thoraldsson driving forward on the left. They must track back quickly to maintain the five man defensive line when the team loses possession.

The midfield consists of a two man unit designed to control the central zone. Kainiesks and Grisham occupy the central roles, tasked with breaking the lines through passing and intercepting play. They must work closely to shield the back three and prevent opponents from playing through the middle. This duo acts as the link between the defense and the front three, shifting side to side to support the wing backs.

In the attacking phase, RFS utilizes three forwards to pin the opposition back. J.Valtrieks leads the line as a lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and direct play. M.Vidroniak stays wide on the left while K.Exhbekhar operates on the right. These wingers look to cut inside or stay wide to receive crosses from the wing backs. The front three press aggressively to force mistakes near the opponent goal.

One major advantage of this RFS formation is the ability to create wide overloads when Slamnieks and Thoraldsson overlap their respective wingers. The team also maintains high compactness when defending deep, making it very difficult for opponents to find gaps between the lines. By having three central defenders, the unit can stay very narrow to protect the box during sustained pressure.

This formation provides a solid platform for teams that want to strike quickly on the break. It is best suited for matches against opponents who play with a high line and can be exploited through wide channels.
