Starting Lineup

The midfield operates as a three man unit to control the center of the pitch. Marcos and Trevor work to protect the back line and break up play, with Trevor often sitting deep to shield the defense. Marcos occupies the space to connect the defensive third to the attacking players. Marcos.H works as the more advanced midfielder who looks to drive forward and break the line with through balls.

In the attacking third, the team uses three attackers to stretch the opposition. Duke leads the line as a lone striker who works to hold up the ball and occupy the central defenders. Evan and Jared play as wide wingers on the right and left, looking to cut inside and create goal scoring chances. These forwards press the opposition defenders aggressively to prevent them from building play from the back.

One major advantage for Liverpool is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, making it hard for opponents to pass out from the back. The team also benefits from wide overloads when Joel and Jeremiah push forward to support the wingers. This creates numerical superiority in the attacking zones and allows the players to switch play quickly to find space.
