Korona Football Formation
Starting Lineup
Dziekonski · Resta · Sotiriou · Smolarczyk · Popov · Pieczek · Svetlin · Remacle · Nono · Blanik · AntoninKorona focuses on a high press and direct play through a 3-4-3 formation. This lineup aims to pin opponents back in their own half by using aggressive wide players and a compact middle. The team seeks to win the ball high up the pitch to create quick attacking transitions.
Dziekonski guards the goal as the last line of defense. The back three consists of Sotiriou, Smolarczyk, and Resta. Sotiriou acts as the central anchor while Smolarczyk and Resta cover the wide areas of the defensive line. They step up to intercept passes and keep the defensive line high to compress the space available to the opponent.
The midfield works in a wide four to control the tempo and provide width. Remacle and Svetlin occupy the central roles to shield the back three and break the lines with vertical passes. On the flanks, Pieczek and Popov act as wing backs who provide constant width. They overlap the attackers to deliver crosses and track back to help the defenders when the team loses possession.
The attacking unit uses three forwards to stretch the opposition. Antonin leads the line as the lone striker to hold up the ball and link play. Blanik and Nono operate as wide attackers who cut inside to find scoring opportunities. Their movements pull the opposition defenders out of position, creating gaps for the midfielders to run into.
Korona finds success by creating wide overloads through the movement of Pieczek and Popov. This formation also allows for an ability to press high in coordinated waves to force mistakes. The close proximity between the midfield and the front three makes it difficult for opponents to play out from the back.
This 3-4-3 formation relies on heavy pressing and rapid transitions to overwhelm the defense. It is best suited for matches against teams that struggle to play under pressure or leave large spaces behind their midfield.
