Starting Lineup

SUZUKI · DELPRATO · CIRCATI · NDIAYE · ALMQVIST · BERNABÈ · KEITA · ESTEVEZ · BRITSCHGI · CUTRONE · PELLEGRINO

Focusing on verticality and quick transitions, Parma utilizes a 3-5-2 formation to control the center of the pitch. This lineup relies on heavy pressing and rapid movements to catch opponents out of position. The team aims to dominate through central presence while using the wings to stretch the play during the attacking phase.

Suzuki sits between the posts to organize the back line and distribute the ball. The defensive unit consists of a back three with Circati acting as the central anchor to block crosses and dominate in the air. Delprato covers the right side of the trio while Ndiaye holds the left, allowing them to shift together as a single unit. This back three provides a solid base that can absorb pressure and start attacks from deep.

The midfield is built around a three man central block to control the tempo. Keita sits in the middle to shield the defense and break up play through interceptions and tackles. Bernabè and Estevez operate on either side of Keita to drive the ball forward and connect the defense to the attack. Britschgi and Almqvist provide the width as wide midfielders, tasked with tracking back to help the defense and pushing high to support the front line.

Parma attacks with a two man front line to pin back opposition defenders. Pellegrino and Cutrone work together to hold up the ball and bring others into play. The two forwards press the opponent's defenders immediately to force mistakes. While the strikers occupy the central defenders, Almqvist and Britschgi can cut inside or deliver crosses to create chaos in the box.

This formation offers significant tactical advantages, particularly the ability to create numerical superiority in the central midfield zone. By using three central players and two wide midfielders, Parma can often overwhelm opponents who play with a standard two man midfield. Additionally, the presence of three central defenders allows the wingbacks to push high, creating wide overloads that isolate defenders in one on one situations.

This 3-5-2 lineup is built for teams that want to dominate the middle of the pitch through physical presence and pressing. It is best suited for matches against opponents who play a narrow formation and struggle to defend against wide transitions.
