Custom Team Football Formation
Starting Lineup
Zaw Lu · Kai · Ewan · Nicholas · Nguyen · Alejandro · Ilhan · Jaebin · Kumar · Tom · SonyaFocusing on heavy pressing and quick vertical transitions, this team utilizes a 4-3-3 formation. The intent is to win the ball high up the pitch and move it quickly to the front three. This lineup aims to squeeze the space in the opponent half and use wide players to stretch the defense.
Zaw Lu starts between the posts to organize the back line. The defensive unit operates as a flat back four, with Kai acting as an attacking full back on the right to push high. Nguyen plays on the left and provides width, while Nicholas and Ewan act as the central pair. Nicholas holds the line as a dominant defender in the air, and Ewan works to cover the space behind the advancing full backs. The defensive unit stays compact to deny the turn to any oncoming attackers.
In the center of the pitch, a three-man midfield provides the engine for the team. Ilhan plays as a single pivot to shield the defense and win the second ball. Alejandro works as an inverted eight, looking to drive forward with the ball and break the line. Sonya operates in the right half-space to connect the defensive and attacking lines. This midfield group works to recycle possession and transition from a mid-block into a hard press when the ball is lost.
The attacking front three is designed to punish teams in transition. Kumar acts as a pressing centre-forward to lead the line and hold up the ball. On the flanks, Jaebin and Tom play as wide wingers who hug the touchline to pull defenders out of position. Jaebin looks to cut inside and find the feet of the striker, while Tom seeks to get to the byline and whip it in. These attackers work in combinations to create runs in behind the opposition defense.
This formation offers significant advantages through its ability to press high in coordinated waves. By using the front three to trigger a press, the team can win it back high up the pitch. Another strength is the ability to create wide overloads when Kai and Nguyen push up to support the wingers. These movements allow the team to isolate wide players in one on one situations against the full backs.
This 4-3-3 lineup is built for high intensity and rapid attacking movements. It is best suited for matches against teams that struggle to play out from the back under pressure.
