The team aims to control the tempo and dictate play through a central heavy presence, operating within a 3-5-2 formation. This lineup focuses on dominating the middle of the pitch and using a compact central block to deny space to the opponent. The goal is to win the ball high and quickly transition into attacking combinations.

Genovese operates as the goalkeeper, providing the first layer of the defensive unit. The back three consists of Pisani as the left centre-back, Ferotti in the middle, and Nicolosi as the right centre-back. Pisani and Nicolosi act as wide centre-backs who can squeeze the space when the ball is played wide, while Ferotti holds the line to ensure stability. This unit defends zonally to maintain a cohesive line and protect the central area.

In the center, a three-man midfield works to control the game. Quarto sits in the middle to shield the defense and recycle possession, while Mangiameli and Guerci operate as inverted eights who drive forward with the ball and connect the defensive and attacking lines. They are supported by the wide midfielders Ventura and Sillah, who play as left and right attacking midfielders. Ventura and Sillah provide the necessary width to stretch the defense, often tracking back to help the back three when the team loses possession.

The attacking force relies on a partnership of two forwards. Frittita leads the line as the left striker, working in close combination with Diallo as the right striker. They work together to press the opposition back line and hunt for runs in behind. This duo looks to link up with the advancing midfielders, using quick passes to split the defense.
