This trio maintains a high line to squeeze the pitch. Dumfries and Dimarco operate as wing backs rather than traditional full backs, pushing high to provide width and tracking back to help the center backs when the team sits deep.

The midfield works through a central pairing to connect the defense to the front line. Barella operates as a box to box midfielder, using his high pressing intensity and energy to drive the team forward. Sucic sits alongside him to help control the tempo and shield the back three. This duo must cover vast amounts of ground to ensure the team remains compact. They help switch play to the wide players to move the opposition block.

In the attacking third, Inter uses three forwards to stretch the defense. Lautaro plays as the lone striker, using his movement to hold up the ball and lead the press. M.Thuram stays on the right wing to cut inside and create chances, while Henrique occupies the left wing to provide balance.
