Starting Lineup

PARKER (1) · Vincent (2) · Beulah (5) · Moi (4) · Ronald lefter (3) · Ssonko (6) · Ivan Lefter (33) · Arafat (11) · Emmason (7) · Jeff (14) · Dama (17)

A high pressing and extremely vertical style of play defines this lineup in a 2-4-4 formation. The team looks to win the ball high up the pitch and immediately drive forward to catch the opposition out of position. This formation is built to overwhelm the opponent with numbers in the attacking third and quick transitions.

PARKER stays between the posts to act as the last line of defense. The defensive unit consists of a narrow back two with Beulah and Moi operating as the central defenders. Beulah and Moi must be ready to step up to squeeze the space and handle any direct balls played over the top. Because there are only two defenders, they often have to defend in a high line to keep the distance between the lines short.

The midfield functions as a four man block to control the center and provide width. Ivan Lefter and Ssonko work as a central pair to connect the defense to the attack, with Ssonko often tasked to press aggressively to win the ball high. Vincent plays as a right midfielder to provide width and support the flank, while Ronald lefter operates on the left to help recycle possession. This midfield unit aims to deny the turn to opposition players and quickly move the ball to the forwards.

An aggressive front line is employed to pin the last defender and create chaos. Jeff and Dama operate as two central forwards, acting as a strike partnership to occupy the center backs. Arafat plays as an inverted winger on the right to cut inside and create chances, while Emmason stays wide on the left to stretch the defense. This front four is designed to press from the front and use runs in behind to break the line of the opposition defense.

One major advantage of this lineup is the ability to create wide overloads through the combination of the midfielders and wingers. The team also benefits from high pressing in coordinated waves, which can force a long ball from the opponent. This setup allows for rapid speed of transition when the ball is won back in the middle third.

This formation is built for a high risk high reward style that seeks to dominate through sheer numbers in the final third. It is best suited for games where the team needs to chase a result against a side that sits deep.
