Seeking to win the ball high up the pitch through relentless pressure, this lineup utilizes a 2-4-4 formation. The intent is to overwhelm the opposition in their own half and force turnovers through a heavy forward presence. This team is built to play a very vertical game, looking to hit in behind on the transition rather than controlling the tempo through slow possession.

PARKER stays between the posts to manage the space behind the defense. The defensive unit consists of a narrow two man line with Beulah and Moi acting as the central defenders. Because there are only two players in the back, Beulah and Moi must be ready to step up and catch opponents offside or cover large amounts of grass when the team loses the ball. They must defend man to man or hold a compact shape in front of PARKER, as any ball played over the top leaves them vulnerable to a direct attack.

The midfield operates as a four man block designed to squeeze the space and dominate the center. Ivan Lefter and Ssonko form the central pairing, where Ivan Lefter works to drive forward with the ball while Ssonko looks to shield the defense and win the second ball. On the flanks, Vincent and Ronald lefter act as wide midfielders who must track back to help the two central defenders. This midfield unit connects the defense to the attack by recycling possession quickly and looking to play through the lines to find the forwards.

The attacking force is massive, using four players to pin the last defender and stretch the defense. Arafat and Emmason act as wide wingers who hug the touchline to provide width, while Jeff and Pius operate as two central forwards. Jeff and Pius often work in combinations, using their movement to create runs in behind or find each other with quick passes. The wingers, Arafat and Emmason, aim to get to the byline to deliver early crosses or cut it back for the arriving central players. This front four is designed to press from the front to force a long ball.

This formation offers significant advantages through its ability to create wide overloads and maintain massive pressure in the final third. By having four attackers and two wide midfielders, the team can quickly switch play to isolate wide players in one on one situations. The heavy numbers in the attacking zone also allow for a coordinated high press, making it difficult for opponents to play out from the back.

This 2-4-4 lineup is built for a high risk, high reward style of play. It is best suited for matches where the team needs to break down a low block or hunt for goals against an aggressive opponent.
