Suwon FC focuses on a vertical attacking style that relies on quick transitions and direct play, utilizing a 4-3-3 formation. This lineup aims to press high and use wide areas to stretch the opposition. By looking to win the ball in advanced positions, the team seeks to catch opponents out of position before they can reset their defensive lines.

In goal, 23 acts as the last line of defense to sweep up long balls or organize the unit. The back line features a flat back four with 5 and 20 occupying the central roles, while 4 and 72 operate on the flanks. The central defenders, 5 and 20, focus on holding the line and winning aerial duels to stop direct attacks. On the sides, 4 and 72 are expected to push up to provide width, while the center backs cover the space left behind when those full backs move forward.

The midfield functions as a three man unit designed to control the center of the pitch. 18 sits in the middle to shield the defense and break the line with forward passes. Ahead of him, 94 and 19 operate as the central midfielders who connect the defense to the attack. These two players must track back to help the full backs and also drive forward into the final third to support the frontline. This three man group works to intercept passes and maintain control during both phases of play.

The attacking front line uses three players to create constant pressure on the opposition defense. 9 leads the line as a lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and bring others into play. On the wings, 97 and 30 act as wide attackers who look to cut inside or drive toward the touchline to cross. The movements of 97 and 30 create space for 9 to find pockets of room, while the entire front three presses hard to force turnovers high up the pitch.

Suwon FC gains a significant advantage through their ability to create wide overloads when 4 and 72 overlap with 97 and 30. This constant movement forces defenders to make difficult decisions about marking. Another strength is the speed of transition, as the combination of 18 and the wingers allows the team to switch play rapidly from one side to the other. This makes it hard for opponents to keep a compact block when the ball moves quickly between the flanks.

This 4-3-3 formation is built to overwhelm opponents through rapid forward movements and high pressing. It is best suited for games against teams that play a high defensive line or struggle to track runners in wide areas.
