Custom Team Football Formation
Starting Lineup
Alejandro · Livingstone · Tiedtke · Fabrice · Kromhout · Hyeonjae · Hongjoong · Hassan · Jaebin · Ilhan (Sönmez/Eslam) · Zaw LuThis team prioritizes a high press and rapid verticality through a 3-5-2 formation. The lineup is built to win the ball high up the pitch and immediately strike with a heavy central presence. By using a narrow midfield base and aggressive wide players, the team aims to overwhelm the opponent in the middle thirds and create chaos during transitions.
Zaw Lu acts as the last line of defense, playing behind a compact back three. Hyeonjae anchors the central position, looking to intercept passes and win the second ball. Fabrice and Kromhout occupy the left and right wide centre-back roles, where they must hold the line and cover the space left behind when the wingers push high. This defensive unit works to squeeze the space between the lines, ensuring the opponent cannot easily play through the center.
The midfield functions as a central engine designed to control the rhythm. A three man midfield consisting of Hongjoong, Ilhan, and Jaebin provides a solid base to shield the defense. Hongjoong sits deep to recycle possession, while Ilhan and Jaebin act as carriers to drive forward with the ball. Adding more attacking intent are Hassan and Alejandro, who operate in the half spaces as attacking midfielders. Hassan and Alejandro push into advanced positions to link the midfield with the strikers, often making late runs into the box to exploit gaps in the opposition defense.
In the final third, the team employs two forwards in a partnership. Livingstone and Tiedtke operate as the primary attacking threats, working in tandem to pin the last defender. Livingstone often leads the press from the front, while Tiedtke works to hold up the ball and find the feet of the strikers running around him. The presence of Hassan and Alejandro allows for combinations in tight spaces, creating a constant threat through through balls or quick one twos. This attacking setup is designed to create runs in behind and allow the wide players to whip it in from deep.
The main strength of this formation lies in its ability to press in coordinated waves. By having Hassan and Alejandro close to the forward line, the team can trigger a press effectively. Another advantage is the numerical superiority in the middle of the pitch, which makes it difficult for opponents to find passing lanes. This setup provides great flexibility to shift between a mid-block and an aggressive high press depending on the game state.
This formation is built for a team that wants to dominate through physical presence and central congestion. It is best suited for matches against opponents who play a slow build up and struggle to defend against rapid transitions.
