Raków Football Formation
Starting Lineup
Svarnas · Racovitan · Tudor · Zych · Repka · Jean Carlos · Ameyaw · Bulat · Struski · Makuch · BrunesRaków seeks to control games through high pressing and quick transitions in a 3-5-2 formation. This lineup is built to squeeze the pitch and win the ball back high up the field to catch opponents out of position. By using a central heavy midfield, the team can dominate the middle of the park and drive the play forward with intensity.
Zych stays between the posts to organize the back three. Svarnas plays as the left center back and covers the space behind the midfield, while Tudor acts as the right center back to provide physical presence. Racovitan sits in the middle of the defensive unit to intercept passes and step up into the lines. The defenders must remain compact to prevent through balls while they shift together to block passing lanes.
The midfield functions with a mix of central and wide roles. Repka holds the position to shield the defense, allowing Ameyaw to drive forward and carry the ball into the final third. Jean Carlos operates on the left side of the central block to connect the defense to the attacking players. Bulat and Struski push higher into the attacking midfield spaces to create numbers in the half spaces and support the front two.
Raków uses two attackers to pin the opposition defense back. Makuch operates as the left striker to press the center backs, while Brunes plays as the right striker to hunt for second balls and make runs behind the line. The presence of Bulat and Struski allows the team to build attacks through the middle or switch play to the flanks. The forwards must hold up the ball to let the midfielders join the attack.
One major strength is the ability to press high in coordinated waves with Bulat and Struski leading the charge. Another advantage comes from the numerical superiority in the middle where Repka, Ameyaw, and Jean Carlos can outnumber many standard midfields. This formation also allows for quick transitions when the team wins the ball, using the mobility of the front two to exploit gaps.
This 3-5-2 formation creates a hard team to break down through central congestion and high pressing. It is best suited for matches against teams that struggle to play out from the back or those that lack central midfield depth.
