Starting Lineup

Hajdú · Horváth · Rózsa · Horgosi · Jagodics · Németh · Herczeg · Vasvári · Szerető · O.Horváth · Kun

Budafok focuses on a vertical style of play that looks to quickly move the ball from defense to the final third using a 3-4-3 formation. This lineup aims to control the middle of the pitch while maintaining enough bodies forward to pressure the opponent. The team plays with high intensity to win the ball back quickly in the attacking half.

Horváth sits between the three center backs to act as the last line of defense. The back three consists of Jagodics in the middle, with Horgosi on the right and Rózsa on the left. Jagodics acts as the central anchor to block central runs, while Horgosi and Rózsa step up to intercept passes or cover wide areas when the wingers push high. This defensive unit works to keep the lines compact to prevent any space from opening up between the defenders.

The midfield functions as a dense block of four to control the tempo and connect the defense to the front line. Hajdú sits deep to shield the back three and provide a link for the ball to move forward. Németh and Herczeg operate as the central engine, with Németh driving the ball forward and Herczeg looking to cover ground and win tackles. Kun operates in the advanced space as an attacking ten to find pockets of room and provide final passes to the attackers.

In the attacking third, Budafok uses three dedicated forwards to stretch the opposition. O.Horváth leads the line as the lone striker to hold up the ball and occupy the central defenders. Szerető and Vasvári operate as wide wingers, looking to cut inside or hit crosses into the box. These three work together to press the opposition backline, forcing mistakes and creating chances through quick combinations.

One major advantage of this formation is the ability to create numerical superiority in the center of the pitch through the presence of Hajdú, Németh, Herczeg, and Kun. This group can often outnumber a standard midfield duo. Another strength is the ability to hit teams on the break with the speed of Szerető and Vasvári once the ball is recovered in the middle third.

This 3-4-3 formation provides a balanced way to control the center while staying dangerous on the wings. It is a lineup best suited for games against teams that sit deep and require constant pressure to break them down.
