Starting Lineup
Xavi · Fuad · Barko · Baraka · Brandon · Farrell · Dash · Alvin · Joseph · Trevor · MichaelA heavy high press and rapid verticality define this lineup in a 3-4-3. This formation is built to win it back high up the pitch and immediately threaten the opposition goal through direct attacking movements. The team looks to squeeze the space in the opponent half to force mistakes and exploit the space left behind the defensive line.
Xavi sits between the posts to organize the back line. The defensive unit operates as a back three with Baraka acting as the central figure to sweep behind the other defenders. Barko and Dash function as the wide centre-backs, tasked with covering the channels and preventing any runners from breaking the line. The unit is expected to stay compact and hold the line to ensure the team can transition into attack quickly without leaving huge gaps.
In the middle of the pitch, the team utilizes a double pivot to control the center. Brandon and Fuad act as the two holding players to shield the defence and win the second ball. They provide the platform for Alvin and Farrell to operate in the half spaces as the two attacking midfielders. Alvin and Farrell look to drive forward with the ball and connect the defensive and attacking lines, often finding pockets of space between the opponent midfield and defence.
The attacking front line uses three attackers to stretch the defence. Michael operates as a lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and find the feet of his teammates. On the flanks, Trevor and Joseph act as wide wingers who stay high to provide width. Trevor tends to hug the touchline to spread the play wide, while Joseph looks to cut inside to create more central presence. This trio works to press from the front, forcing the opposition to play long balls that the back three can intercept.
This formation offers significant advantages when the team can create wide overloads. By pushing Alvin and Farrell forward, the team can combine in tight spaces to bypass a mid-block. The presence of three attackers allows the team to pin the last defender, creating space for late runs into the box from the midfield. Another strength is the ability to press in coordinated waves, making it very difficult for opponents to play out from the back.
This 3-4-3 formation relies on intense pressing and quick vertical transitions to dominate games. It is best suited for facing teams that struggle to play under pressure or those that leave significant space behind their defensive line.
