Stuttgart focuses on a high press and quick verticality to catch opponents out of position. The midfield is the engine of the Stuttgart lineup. Penners and Free sit in a double pivot to shield the defense and intercept passes. Figo and Stokes push into the half spaces to connect the buildup to the attack, while TicTac operates as an attacking ten to find pockets of space between the lines.
