Aldershot Football Formation
Starting Lineup
Putra · Wan · Adam · Aidil · Shamil · Danish · Syaz · Alfin · Anaqi · Alang · RaqibFocusing on a high press and quick transitions, Aldershot operate within a 4-3-3 formation. This lineup is built to press opponents high up the pitch and win the ball back quickly to launch direct attacks. The goal for Aldershot is to use the width of the pitch to stretch the opposition and create space for central penetrations.
Anaqi stays between the posts to organize the defense from the back. A flat back four provides the foundation, with Shamil acting as the right back to overlap and support the attack. Adam operates on the left side to provide similar width, while Wan and Aidil form the central defensive pairing. Wan and Aidil must hold their line and cover the space behind the full backs when they push forward to ensure the team remains compact.
The midfield works as a single pivot with an attacking midfielder playing ahead. Raqib and Danish occupy the central roles to control the tempo and link the back line to the front three. Danish and Raqib work to intercept passes and shield the defense, while Alang plays as the attacking ten to drive the ball forward. This trio works to break the line with vertical passes to reach the final third.
The attack relies on three players to stretch the opposition defense. Putra leads the line as a lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and bring others into play. Alfin and Syaz play as wide wingers on the left and right, looking to cut inside or deliver crosses into the box. This front three is designed to press the opposing defenders and force mistakes in their own half.
One major advantage for this formation is the ability to create wide overloads when Adam and Shamil push up to support Alfin and Syaz. The team can also use the movement of Alang to create numerical superiority in the attacking half. When defending, the ability to sit deep and shift as a unit allows the players to remain compact and deny space between the lines.
This 4-3-3 formation allows Aldershot to dominate through aggressive pressing and rapid wing play. It is best suited for games against teams that play a high line or struggle to keep possession under pressure.
