Talleres focuses on a hard to beat defensive block and quick vertical transitions through a 5-3-2 formation. This lineup aims to absorb pressure and then strike quickly when the opposition leaves space behind their defensive line. Barbi stays between the posts to organize the defensive unit. The back line consists of a central trio where Gómez sits in the middle to command the area. Soria and Fernández occupy the left and right central defender roles to provide cover and win aerial duels. One major advantage of this formation is the numerical superiority in the defensive third, making it very difficult for opponents to find space in the box.
