Asa and Miya operate as the central midfielders, tasked with pressing opponents and making runs to support the attack. Zesty plays as an attacking midfielder to connect the midfield to the lone striker. This midfield unit works to press in coordinated waves to stop the opponent from playing through the center.

The attacking side of the formation relies on a lone striker, Gmz, to lead the line. Gmz must hold up the ball to allow the midfield to move up the pitch. Because there is only one striker, the width comes from the wing backs and the movement of the midfielders. The team builds attacks by using the wide players to stretch the opposition, creating space for Zesty to find pockets between the lines. Gmz works to press the opposition center backs to force mistakes.

Spain offers significant tactical advantages through its compactness when defending. The five man back line makes it very difficult for opponents to find space in the box. The team can also exploit wide overloads when Xayo and Lvl step up to join the attack. By sitting deep, the unit keeps the distances between Henikem, the central defenders, and the wide players very small, making it hard for the opposition to pass through.
