Custom Team Football Formation
Starting Lineup
Nestor · Victor · Oliver · Emma · Samuel · Maxi · Alan · Azamar · Casto · Jared · YoPrioritizing aggressive verticality and overwhelming the opposition with numbers in the final third, this team utilizes a 3-3-4 formation. The intent is to play a high press and force mistakes deep in the opponent half. This lineup is built to play with high intensity, looking to catch the opposition out of position through rapid transitions and heavy numbers across the front line.
Nestor acts as the last line of defense, playing behind a back three. Victor operates as the central defender, providing a presence to hold the line and clear the lines when necessary. Oliver and Emma function as the wide center-backs, responsible for covering the space left by the attacking midfielders and squeezing the space to keep the team compact. This defensive unit works as a coordinated block to defend zonally and prevent runners from finding pockets of space behind them.
The midfield operates as a three-man midfield with a carrier. Maxi sits in the center to shield the defense and connect the lines, while Yo and Samuel work in the half-spaces to win the second ball and drive forward with the ball. Samuel and Yo are tasked to press aggressively to win the ball high up the pitch, allowing the team to transition instantly. This trio must be prepared to track back and cover the wide areas if the opposition breaks the first wave of the press.
This attacking setup uses four forwards to pin the last defender and stretch the defense. Jared and Azamar operate as a partnership of two forwards, working to find the feet of the striker and make runs in behind. Alan and Casto act as wide attackers, where Alan cuts inside from the left and Casto looks to get to the byline to deliver early crosses. The forwards press from the front to force a long ball, creating chaos in the opposition box through constant movement.
One major advantage of this formation is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, making it difficult for opponents to play out from the back. The sheer number of attackers allows for wide overloads and the ability to win the second ball in dangerous areas. This lineup also provides immense pressure in the final third, as the heavy presence of Jared, Azamar, Alan, and Casto ensures the opposition is constantly under threat.
This high intensity formation focuses on relentless attacking pressure and rapid verticality. It is best suited for games where the team needs to break down a low block through sheer volume of players in the penalty area.
