A heavy reliance on controlling the center of the pitch and forcing opponents into wide areas defines this team in a 2-5-3. The formation aims to dominate through a congested middle section to win the ball back high up the pitch. This lineup uses a narrow defensive base to protect the central zone while spreading wide in the attacking phase.

Kishen sits between the posts to manage the defensive line. The back two consists of Keya and Li Hang who must act as ball playing centre backs to play short from the back. Because there are only two defenders, they must step up to squeeze the space and catch opponents offside. They often find themselves in one on one situations if the midfield fails to track back. The unit functions by keeping the distance between the defenders and the midfielders very tight to prevent any space between the lines.

The midfield is a massive five man block designed to compress the midfield and suffocate the opposition. Brandon acts as a single pivot to shield the defence and recycle possession. Beside him, ADRIAN and Jun operate as two central midfielders who drive forward with the ball and carry the ball forward into the final third. Eilyas and Hern provide the necessary width, operating as wide midfielders who can push high to support the attack or drop back to help the defence. This group links the two centre backs to the front three by playing through the lines with quick passes.

The attack features three players across the front to stretch the defence. Tan acts as a lone striker who needs to hold up the ball and find the feet of the teammates arriving late into the box. SAE and Jamond operate as inverted wingers who cut inside to occupy the half spaces, creating room for the wide midfielders to overlap. This movement is designed to create runs in behind and allow the attackers to combine in tight spaces. When pressing, the front three work to press from the front and force a long ball from the opposition.

This formation offers significant numerical superiority in midfield, making it hard for opponents to play through the middle. The ability to quickly switch play to Hern or Eilyas allows the team to create wide overloads against a narrow defensive block. By occupying the central lanes, the team can win the second ball frequently and launch quick attacks in transition.

This 2-5-3 formation is built for total midfield dominance and high pressing. It is best suited for games where the team needs to suffocate an opponent that relies on playing through the center.
