By packing the central areas, the team aims to dominate the middle part of the pitch and slowly work the ball forward through short passes.

Koubek stays between the posts to organize the defensive unit. The back four remains fairly flat, with A. Gabriel acting as the right back to provide width while KADLEC covers the left side. In the center, Š. Gabriel and N’guessan form the main defensive block. Š. Gabriel often steps up to intercept passes, while N’guessan provides aerial strength and covers the space behind the full backs. The unit works to stay tight and compact, forcing opponents into wide areas where they are easier to mark.

The midfield functions as a heavy block with five players working in unison. Diakité and Stránský act as the double pivot to shield the defense and break up play. They sit deep to allow Dulay and Soliu to drive forward into the half spaces. Mahmič plays as the attacking ten, finding pockets of space between the opposition lines to connect the midfield to the attack. This midfield group works to press in waves to regain possession quickly in the center.

In the attacking phase, Krollis operates as a lone striker. He must hold up the ball to bring the advancing midfielders into the game. The attack is built through the wide areas and the central creativity of Mahmič. Rather than relying on long balls, the team uses the five midfielders to create overloads. The forwards press high to prevent the opposition from building from the back, forcing hurried passes.

Slovan Liberec gains a clear advantage through numerical superiority in the midfield. Having five players against a three or four man midfield makes it difficult for opponents to find passing lanes.
