They aim to keep the unit compact to protect the space in front of Grosics.

The midfield functions as a dense engine room to control the center of the pitch. Hidegkuti acts as the single pivot to shield the defense and break the lines with his passing. Ahead of him, TÓTH and Czibor occupy the central areas to drive the ball forward and connect the defense to the attack. Bozsik and Zakariás operate in the wider attacking midfield roles, providing width and supporting the transition from the middle third to the final third.

The attacking front features two forwards, Kocsis and Puskás, who work in close proximity.
