Starting Lineup

LILLIAN · HADIA · MOLLY · EMMA · SOFIA · TAYLOR · SOPHIA · BALOSSI · TAT · ADI · VIC

This team focuses on extreme verticality and overwhelming the opposition with a massive attacking presence through a 2-4-4 formation. The goal is to pin the opposition deep and use a high number of bodies in the final third to create chaos. This setup is built to play a direct game that relies on rapid transitions and heavy pressure on the opponent's defensive line.

LILLIAN operates between the posts as the lone goalkeeper in this aggressive lineup. Behind the two central defenders, TAYLOR and SOFIA, there is a very high line that requires constant attention to prevent long balls. TAYLOR and SOFIA must act as ball playing defenders to start attacks immediately, while also being ready to sweep behind the high line when the opposition breaks. The defensive unit functions with high risk, as there is no cover behind the two centre backs.

The midfield works as a four man block designed to control the center of the pitch and support the front four. HADIA and SOPHIA sit in the center to shield the defense and win the second ball. HADIA works to connect the defensive and attacking lines, while SOPHIA is tasked to press aggressively to win the ball high up the pitch. On the flanks, VIC and ADI act as wide midfielders who can push up to support the attack or drop back to help the defense. They are essential for recycling possession and moving the ball wide to stretch the opposition.

The attack is incredibly heavy with four players constantly threatening the goal. BALOSSI and TAT act as a partnership of two central forwards, often working to find the feet of the striker or making runs in behind. They are supported by Emma and Molly, who play as wide wingers. Emma and Molly often cut inside to occupy the half spaces, while also looking to receive the ball in tight spaces to create chances. The forwards press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition, allowing the midfielders to intercept and start a new wave of attack.

This formation offers huge advantages through sheer numbers in the attacking zones. By using four forwards, the team can create wide overloads and force the opposition to defend in a very narrow area. There is also a high ability to press high in coordinated waves, making it difficult for the opponent to play out from the back. The sheer volume of players in the box means the team is always in a position to win the second ball or collect a cut back.

This aggressive formation is built for high intensity attacking football and rapid transitions. It is best suited for games against opponents that drop into a low block and struggle to handle constant pressure in their own box.
