Como seeks to play a vertical, high tempo game through a 4-2-4 formation. This lineup focuses on heavy pressure in the final third and quick transitions to catch the opposition out of position. Butez stays between the posts to command the area and organize the back line. The defensive unit consists of a flat back four where Ramon and Diego Carlos act as the central pair. Diego Carlos provides aerial strength and physical presence to win headers, while Ramon covers the space behind him. On the flanks, Valle and Smolcic are tasked with holding the wide areas and tracking back to support the defense. The four defenders must shift together to prevent gaps from opening between the full backs and the center halves.

The midfield relies on a double pivot to control the center of the pitch. Perrone and Da Cunha work together to shield the defense and win the ball back quickly. Perrone often drops deep to collect the ball from the defenders, while Da Cunha looks to drive forward and connect the lines. This duo must remain compact to prevent the opponent from playing through the middle. They act as the engine of Como, providing the necessary link between the back four and the heavy attacking force ahead of them.

The attacking unit is built to overwhelm the opponent with four dedicated forwards. Nico Paz and Morata operate as a central pair, with Morata using his ability to hold up the ball and bring others into play. Nico Paz moves between the lines to create chances and find pockets of space. Out wide, Kuhn and Addai provide width and stretch the opposition defense. Kuhn tends to cut inside to shoot or pass, while Addai looks to use his pace to beat his marker. The front four press in coordinated waves to force mistakes near the opponent goal.

This formation offers clear tactical advantages through its ability to create wide overloads and overwhelming central presence. By playing with two strikers and two wingers, Como can isolate wide players in one on one situations. The double pivot of Perrone and Da Cunha allows the team to maintain a solid base while the attackers commit forward.
