Besiktas aims to dominate through a heavy high press and rapid verticality using a 2-4-4 formation. This lineup is built to overwhelm opponents in the final third and force turnovers deep in the opposition half. The goal is to use high volume attacking numbers to pin the opponent back and create constant chaos.

Mert operates as the goalkeeper, standing behind a central defensive duo of Talha Altkardeş and Emirhan. These two central defenders must play a high line to keep the team compact, often leaving space behind for opponents to exploit. Because there are only two defenders, they must be ready to intercept long balls and cover wide areas when the midfield pushes up. The defensive unit relies on quick recovery runs and aggressive tackling to prevent direct attacks.

The midfield consists of a central block featuring Salih Özcan and Rıdvan to hold the center. Salih Özcan provides stability by sitting deep to shield the defense, while Rıdvan helps connect the ball from the back to the attackers. Taylan and Orkun occupy the advanced positions to drive the ball forward and break the lines with progressive passes. This central group must work hard to cover the gaps left by the aggressive attacking players and ensure the team is not caught on the break.

In the attacking phase, Besiktas uses four forwards to stretch the pitch. Marcus Edwards and Bilal Toure act as the central forwards, tasked with holding up the ball and making runs into the box.
