Echeverri plays in the attacking ten role behind the strikers, acting as the creative link to find pockets of space between the lines.

In the final third, River utilizes two forwards to stretch the opposition defense. Gondou leads the line as a lone striker, playing to hold up the ball and bring others into the game. Driussi plays as a second striker, often cutting inside from wider areas to create goal scoring chances. The forwards are tasked to press high and force mistakes, creating chaos for the opponent defenders.
