Starting Lineup
Lukas (IF Brommapojkarna) · Saul (Arsenal) · Isaac (Cambridge) · Yakov (Hajduk) · Patrick (Cambridge) · Louis (Tottenham) · Leo (Man Utd) · Yaqub (Liverpool) · Mason (Arsenal) · Lucas X (Chelsea) · Lucas TS (Corinthians)Prioritizing a high press and rapid transitions, this team operates within a 3-5-2 formation. The lineup is built to squeeze the space in the opponent's half and use the extra numbers in the middle to control the game. This tactical identity allows for aggressive ball winning and quick vertical movement once the turnover occurs.
Saul acts as the last line of defense in goal. The defensive unit relies on a back three consisting of Yakov, Patrick, and Louis. Yakov operates as the left centre-back while Louis covers the right side, leaving Patrick to hold the center. This back three functions as a compact block, with the defenders stepping up to set the offside trap and covering for the midfielders when they push forward.
The midfield is a dense engine room featuring a three-man midfield with a carrier and an attacking ten. Isaac and Lukas operate in the central areas to shield the defense and win the second ball. Mason plays as the advanced playmaker, sitting just behind the strikers to link the lines and play through the lines. On the flanks, Leo and Yaqub act as wide midfielders who must track back to support the defense while also providing width to stretch the defense during the build up.
In the attacking third, the team utilizes two forwards in a partnership. Lucas X and Lucas TS work closely together to pin the last defender and make runs in behind. They often combine in tight spaces to draw out opposition center-backs. When the team moves from a mid-block into an attack, the wide players Leo and Yaqub push up to provide crosses, while Mason looks to arrive late into the box to finish movements.
One major advantage of this formation is the ability to create numerical superiority in midfield, making it very hard for opponents to pass through the center. The team also benefits from the speed of transition, as Mason and the two strikers can strike quickly once the midfield trio of Isaac, Lukas, and Mason wins the ball. This allows the team to exploit gaps before the opposition can regroup.
This 3-5-2 formation is built for high intensity and controlling the central areas of the pitch. It is most effective against teams that play with a single pivot or struggle to handle the pressure from a crowded midfield.
