Ter Stegen acts as the goalkeeper, playing out from the back to initiate attacks. The defensive unit consists of a back five featuring Daudo as the central defender, flanked by Rudiger and Jonas. Rudiger provides aerial strength and high pressing intensity while Jonas covers the right side. The wide defenders, Ados and Last, act as attacking wing backs who provide width and can push high to overlap the wingers. The midfield utilizes a double pivot consisting of Jackson and Venancio. These two work to compress the midfield and shield the defensive line. They link the defence to the attack by playing short from the back and looking to find the feet of the striker. On the flanks, Nuro and Reis act as wide wingers who hug the touchline to stretch the defence. Nuro looks to cut inside to create shooting opportunities, while Reis stays wide to deliver early crosses into the box. The forwards are expected to press from the front to force a long ball and create chances in transition.

One major tactical advantage is the ability to create wide overloads when Ados and Last push forward to support the wingers. The team also benefits from extreme compactness when defending, making it very difficult for opponents to play through the middle. The speed of transition allows the front three to exploit spaces vacated by opposing full backs.
