The midfield operates as a four man unit that connects the defense to the attack. Ødegaard acts as the creative engine from the left, using his vision to play through the lines and find teammates in advanced positions. Dewsbury-Hall works alongside him to drive forward with the ball and win the second ball in central areas. On the flanks, Cucurella and Amad provide the width, with Cucurella often tucking in to help the central players while Amad pushes to support the attack. This midfield block works to disrupt the opposition and recycle possession quickly to maintain pressure.

In the final third, the team uses three attackers to stretch the defense. Woltemade acts as a target man to hold up the ball and bring others into play. Gordon and Buendia operate as wide attackers, with Gordon looking to cut inside and Buendia to deliver crosses from the flank. The front line works to press the opposition back line intensely, making runs in behind to exploit any gaps. This setup creates many chances through quick combinations and direct movement towards the goal.

One major strength of this formation is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, making it very difficult for opponents to play out from the back. The team also benefits from the wide overloads created when Cucurella and Amad push forward to support the wingers. These numerical advantages in the wide areas allow the team to dominate much of the ball and create isolations for the attackers.
