Starting Lineup

Wesley and Rensch play as wing backs, tasked with providing width and tracking back to form a five man defense when out of possession.

The midfield operates with a double pivot consisting of Cristante and Konè. Cristante works to shield the back three and break up play through heavy tackling. Konè provides the engine to drive forward and link the defense to the attack. These two players must cover a lot of ground to prevent the opposition from finding space between the lines. Their primary job is to win the ball and immediately look for the attackers to switch play.

Roma utilizes three attackers to stretch the opposition. Soulè and Pellegrini operate as wide forwards, with Soulè looking to cut inside to create chances. Pellegrini occupies the right flank and moves into central areas to find space. Ferguson leads the line as a lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and bring the wingers into the game. This attacking trio presses high to force turnovers in the opponent half.
