Inter focuses on high intensity pressing and quick transitions using a 4-3-3 formation. This lineup aims to dominate the pitch through aggressive ball recovery and rapid vertical movements to catch opponents off guard. The goal is to squeeze the space in the middle of the park while maintaining enough width to stretch opposing defensive lines.

At the back, ATUBOLU starts the build up from goal. The defense operates as a flat back four where AKANJI acts as a dominant presence in the air and a reliable cover for the other defenders. BASTONI works as a ball playing center back to break lines with his passing range. On the flanks, BISSECK holds his position to defend the wide areas, while DIMARCO pushes high to provide an overlap and deliver crosses into the box.

The midfield works as a three man unit to control the center. BARELLA operates in the pivot role to shield the defense and intercept passes. Next to him, ZIELINSKI uses his passing range to connect the back line to the front three, while SUCIC moves into the half spaces to drive forward and link the play. This midfield group ensures the team can shift quickly from a defensive block to an attacking stance.

The attacking front line utilizes three attackers to pin back the opposition. LAUTARO operates as a lone striker who can hold up the ball and lead the press from the front. On the wings, CHIESA, who is the captain, uses his dribbling style to cut inside and create chances. M.THURAM plays as an inverted winger on the right, making runs behind the defense to exploit space created by the central movements.

One major advantage for Inter is the ability to press high in coordinated waves with CHIESA and LAUTARO leading the charge. The team can also create wide overloads when DIMARCO overlaps to support the attackers. This setup allows for high speed of transition, moving the ball from the defensive third to the final third in just a few passes to isolate defenders in one on one situations.

This 4-3-3 formation provides a balanced way to press high while maintaining control through a strong midfield. It is a lineup best suited for facing teams that play a high line and struggle with rapid vertical passing.
