This lineup focuses on suffocating the opponent in their own half and winning the ball back quickly to launch attacks. W. Benítez sits between his defenders to act as the last line of defense and start attacks with short passes. The back four consists of a flat line where N. Molina and L. Blanco operate as full backs to provide width. Y. Mina and A. Costa form the central pairing, with Y. Mina providing aerial strength and A. Costa covering the space behind. This unit stays compact to prevent any through balls from breaking the line.

The midfield works in a central cluster to dominate the center of the pitch. L. Torreira (C) acts as the anchor to shield the defense, while Paredes sits alongside him to break the line with his passing range. B. Rodríguez and M. Hinestroza push higher to connect the play, with P. Dybala operating in the pockets of space to create chances. This five man midfield provides a heavy presence to intercept passes and control the middle third for Boca.

In the attacking phase, the team relies on a lone striker in M. Borja to lead the line. M. Borja holds up the ball to allow the midfielders to push forward and join the attack. The five midfielders provide the main service, often through central runs or quick switches of play. When the team loses the ball, the forwards and midfielders work together to press high and prevent the opponent from building from the back.

This formation offers significant tactical advantages, particularly the ability to create numerical superiority in the central midfield areas.
