ΑΤΜΑΤΣΙΔΗΣ · ΜΑΝΩΛΑΣ · ΔΕΛΛΑΣ · ΜΠΟΡΜΠΟΚΗΣ · ΚΑΣΑΠΗΣ · ΚΑΤΣΟΥΡΆΝΗΣ · SCOCCO · ΤΣΙΑΡΤΑΣ · ΝΙΚΟΛΑΙΔΗΣ · BLANCO · ΛΥΜΠΕΡΟΠΟΥΛΟΣAEK focuses on direct play and high pressing through a 4-3-3 formation. This lineup aims to control the tempo by quickly moving the ball from the back to the front three. The team works to win the ball back in high areas to launch immediate attacks.
ΑΤΜΑΤΣΙΔΗΣ acts as the last line of defense behind a flat back four. ΜΠΟΡΜΠΟΚΗΣ and ΚΑΣΑΠΗΣ provide width by pushing up to overlap and deliver crosses into the box. In the center, ΜΑΝΩΛΑΣ and ΔΕΛΛΑΣ form the core of the defensive unit, with ΔΕΛΛΑΣ often using his aerial strength to clear danger. The defenders must step up to keep the line high and squeeze the space between the units.
The midfield functions with a single pivot to protect the back line. ΚΑΤΣΟΥΡΆΝΗΣ sits deep to intercept passes and shield the center backs. Ahead of him, SCOCCO and ΤΣΙΑΡΤΑΣ operate in the half spaces to connect the play. SCOCCO drives forward to break the line with progressive passes, while ΤΣΙΑΡΤΑΣ moves between the lines to find pockets of space. This group works to maintain control and recycle possession when the attack stalls.
AEK utilizes three attackers to stretch the opposition defense. BLANCO and ΝΙΚΟΛΑΙΔΗΣ play as wide wingers who cut inside to create goal scoring chances. ΛΥΜΠΕΡΟΠΟΥΛΟΣ stays central to hold up the ball and act as a focal point for the attack. These forwards press in coordinated waves to force turnovers in the final third. The width provided by the wingers creates space for the midfielders to make late runs into the penalty area.
This formation offers significant tactical advantages through its ability to create wide overloads. When ΜΠΟΡΜΠΟΚΗΣ or ΚΑΣΑΠΗΣ push forward, they create numerical superiority on the flanks. The team also benefits from its ability to press high in coordinated waves, making it hard for opponents to build from the back. This allows AEK to transition from defense to attack with great speed.
This 4-3-3 formation relies on high intensity and rapid transitions to overwhelm the opponent. It is best suited for matches against teams that play with a high defensive line or struggle to handle wide pressure.
