Starting Lineup

Douvikas · Baturina · Kühn · Paz · Perrone · Da Cunha · Valle · Caqueret · D. Carlos · Posch · Butez

Focusing on high pressing and rapid transitions, Como operates with a 2-5-3 formation. This lineup aims to dominate the center of the pitch and squeeze opponents in their own half. By pushing many players forward, the team looks to win the ball back quickly and launch direct attacks toward the goal.

Butez stands between the posts to organize the defensive unit. Behind a very high defensive line, Posch and D. Carlos act as the two central defenders. Posch provides aerial strength while D. Carlos must cover large spaces behind him as they step up to intercept long balls. Because there are only two dedicated defenders, they must be ready to track back quickly if the first line of the press is broken.

The midfield is the heart of the Como engine room, utilizing a five man block to control the game. Valle and Caqueret play as the two holding midfielders, with Valle acting as a single pivot to shield the defense while Caqueret works to break the line with vertical passes. Perrone and Da Cunha operate in the half spaces to connect the defense to the attack, using their ability to drive forward and carry the ball into space. Paz sits in the attacking midfield role, finding pockets of space to create chances and deliver final passes.

In the final third, the team employs three attackers to stretch the opposition. Douvikas acts as the lone striker, using his movement to hold up the ball and create space for others. Baturina plays as an inverted winger on the left, looking to cut inside and shoot, while Kühn operates on the right wing to provide width and crosses. This front three presses in coordinated waves to force turnovers high up the pitch.

This formation offers significant advantages through numerical superiority in the central areas. The five midfielders can easily overload the opposition middle, making it difficult for opponents to maintain possession. Additionally, the ability to press high with Paz, Douvikas, Baturina, and Kühn creates constant pressure. This aggressive stance allows the team to transition from defense to attack with immense speed.

The Como lineup is built for teams that want to dominate through central control and aggressive pressing. This setup works best against opponents who struggle to play out from the back under heavy pressure.
