Woltemade plays in the hole as an attacking ten, finding space between the lines to support the strike partnership.

The attacking force consists of two forwards in a partnership. Haaland operates as a primary striker, using his immense strength and movement to pin the last defender and make runs in behind. Calvert-Lewin plays as a target man, looking to win headers and hold up the ball to bring others into play. These two press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition. The team uses the wide players and the movement of Woltemade to create cutbacks from the byline and combinations in tight spaces.

This formation offers several tactical advantages. The team creates numerical superiority in the box when the midfielders arrive late into the box. They also possess great speed of transition, allowing them to hit in behind on the transition before the opponent can regroup.
