In the final third, the attack is led by a strike partnership of ADAMS and OSIMHEN. OSIMHEN uses his immense physical strength and relentless pressing intensity to harass defenders and hold up the ball. ADAMS works alongside him to find pockets of space and make runs behind the defense. The team builds its attacks through wide deliveries from the wing backs or quick vertical passes from the midfield to the two forwards.

Nigeria offers significant tactical advantages through this specific lineup. The presence of a back five allows for great compactness when defending a low block, making it difficult for opponents to find space centrally. The team can also create wide overloads as OSAYI-SAMUEL and ONYEMAECHI push high, forcing the opposition wingers to track back.
