The midfield functions as a single bank of three to control the central zone. Bruce and Denzo sit deeper to shield the defense and win second balls. Bruce works to intercept passes and move the ball to the creative players. kage plays as an attacking midfielder behind the two strikers, looking to find pockets of space and deliver through balls. This midfield unit connects the defensive block to the front line by shifting quickly from a defensive stance to an attacking one.

Parma employs two strikers to lead the line and pin the opposition defenders back. Kanye and Shinra work as a pair to hold up the ball and allow the midfield to push forward. Kanye often moves into channels to pull defenders out of position, while Shinra looks to play on the shoulder of the last defender. The two forwards lead the press from the front, forcing the opposition to play long balls that the back three can collect.

One main strength of this formation is the ability to create wide overloads when Snows and Ehler overlap into the final third. This pushes the opponent's wingers back and forces their full backs to sit deep.
