Custom Team Football Formation
Starting Lineup
Chicho · Arturo · Pepe · Noel · Andres · Racho · Edgardo · Luna · Joel · Charli · BomberoA high press and heavy verticality define this lineup using a 3-5-2. The team looks to win the ball high up the pitch and hit the opposition quickly through the center or wide. This formation is built to control the middle of the park while using aggressive wing play to stretch the defense.
Chicho stays between the posts to command the area. The defense operates with a back three consisting of Arturo, Pepe, and Noel. Pepe acts as the right centre-back while Noel covers the left side, leaving Arturo to hold the center. This unit functions as a narrow defensive block that can step up to set the offside trap. When the team is out of possession, they sit deep to protect the middle, but when they play out from the back, the defenders look to find the midfielders to move the ball forward.
The midfield relies on a three-man midfield with a carrier and creative roles. Edgardo sits in the advanced hole to connect the lines and find the forwards. Racho and Andres operate in the central spaces to win the second ball and drive forward with the ball. To provide width, Luna and Joel act as wide midfielders who can push up to overlap the attackers. This midfield unit works to compress the midfield and deny the turn of the opposition players.
The attack features two forwards in a partnership with Charli and Bombero. Charli works as a pressing centre-forward to harass the opposition back line. Bombero plays as a second striker in the hole to link up with the midfield. They attack in combinations, often looking for runs in behind or cutbacks from the byline. The goal is to isolate wide players in one on one situations or use the wide midfielders to whip it in for the strikers.
One major strength is the ability to create wide overloads from Luna and Joel pushing high. The team also gains numerical superiority in midfield when Edgardo moves between the lines. This makes it difficult for opponents to track all the runners.
This 3-5-2 relies on intense pressing and quick transitions to break teams down. It is best suited for games against opponents who play a high line or struggle to manage wide players.
