Starting Lineup

BARGLAN · KHAMIS · SAEED AHMED · ABDEL. KASHOUM · KHIDIR · TAIFOUR · YAGOUB OMER · ABDALLAH · ABDEL RAHMAN · EISA · MONGED A.

Sudan aims to play a direct and aggressive style of football using a 4-2-4 formation. This lineup relies on high pressing and quick transitions to catch opponents out of position. By pushing numbers forward, the team looks to dominate the final third and force mistakes in the opponent's half through constant pressure.

Monged A. stays between the posts to command the area and organize the back line. The defense operates with a flat back four where Barglan acts as the right back to cover the flank and Khamis plays as the left back. In the center, Saeed Ahmed and Abdel. Kashoum work together to block crosses and clear danger. Saeed Ahmed and Abdel. Kashoum must stay compact to prevent through balls while tracking the runs of opposing strikers.

The midfield relies on a double pivot to manage the center of the pitch. Khidir and Taifour occupy the central roles to protect the defensive line and try to break the lines with forward passes. Khidir and Taifour need to cover a lot of ground to track back when the team loses possession. They act as the link between the defense and the heavy attacking unit, helping to recycle the ball and switch play to the wings.

The attacking unit is built to overwhelm the opposition with four players. Abdallah plays on the right wing and Abdel Rahman operates on the left wing to provide width and stretch the defense. In the center, Yagoub Omer and Eisa act as two central forwards to occupy the defenders. This duo of Yagoub Omer and Eisa works to hold up the ball and make runs behind the back line, while the wingers look to cut inside and deliver crosses into the box.

This formation offers significant advantages in transition and offensive volume. Sudan can create wide overloads by having the wingers and full backs push high up the pitch. The presence of four attackers creates numerical superiority in the final third, making it hard for opponents to mark everyone. The high press from Abdallah, Abdel Rahman, Yagoub Omer, and Eisa allows the team to win the ball back quickly in advanced areas.

The 4-2-4 formation is a high risk, high reward setup built for attacking dominance. It is best suited for games where Sudan needs to chase a result or face an opponent that struggles to handle heavy pressure.
