Czechia National Football Team Formation
Starting Lineup
STANĚK · HOLEŠ · HRANÁČ · KREJČÍ · DOUDĚRA · SADÍLEK · ČERV · PROVOD · ŠULC · HLOŽEK · SCHICKCzechia relies on a direct and vertical style of play using a 3-4-3 formation. This lineup is built to exploit spaces quickly and use physical presence to disrupt the opponent. The team looks to win the ball and move forward with speed to catch the opposition before they can settle.
Staněk acts as the last line of defense in goal. Ahead of him, the back three of Krejčí, Hranáč, and Holeš maintains a compact unit to block central lanes. Krejčí and Holeš stay close to the central area to win aerial duels, while Hranáč provides cover and reads the game to intercept passes. The defenders often step up to squeeze the space between the lines when the team presses.
The midfield operates with a central pair of Sadílek and Červ who sit in front of the defense. Sadílek works to break the line with his passing and covers ground to help the back three. Červ helps to shield the defense and connects the play from deep. On the flanks, Douděra and Provod act as wing backs, pushing high to provide width and tracking back to help the defense when the team sits deep.
In the attacking third, Czechia uses three forwards to stretch the opponent. Schick leads the line as the lone striker, using his strength to hold up the ball and bring others into play. Hložek and Šulc play as wide attackers, looking to cut inside and create goal scoring chances. These three forwards press high to force turnovers near the opponent's goal.
One major advantage for Czechia is the ability to create wide overloads when Douděra and Provod overlap the wingers. This forces the opposition to defend much wider areas. Another strength is the speed of transition, where the team moves from a defensive block to an attacking wave in seconds. This makes them very dangerous on the counter attack.
This 3-4-3 formation provides a balanced platform for a high pressing and vertical game. It is best suited for matches against teams that play a high defensive line or leave space behind their midfield.
