Bari aims to control the game through heavy possession and high pressing in a 4-3-3 formation. This lineup focuses on dominating the ball in the middle third to force opponents into mistakes. By using a high line, the team looks to win the ball back quickly in the opposition half. This way of playing requires every player to move together to maintain compactness during the transition.

Guidi sits between the posts as the last line of defense. The back line operates as a flat four with Van Den Bosch and Pèrez acting as the central defenders. Van Den Bosch is expected to step up and cover space while Pèrez stays deep to provide strength. On the flanks, Dorgu pushes high as an attacking left back to provide width, while Tobias stays more disciplined to balance the defensive unit. This back four must shift as a single block to prevent gaps from appearing when the team pushes forward.

The midfield functions as a trio to connect the defense to the attack. Samardzic operates in the left central role to drive the ball forward and break the line with his passing range. Kjaergaard works in the right central area to help move the play through the middle, while Coppola acts as the pivot to shield the back four. This midfield group works to intercept passes and ensure the team maintains control of the center of the pitch.

In the attacking phase, Bari uses three forwards to stretch the opponent. Ruberto acts as the lone striker to hold up the ball and lead the press from the front. On the wings, Liberali and Navarrete provide width and look to cut inside to create shooting opportunities. These attackers move in coordination to pull defenders out of position, creating space for the midfielders to make late runs into the box.

Bari has clear tactical advantages when playing this way. The team can create wide overloads by having Dorgu overlap with Liberali to overwhelm the opposition full back. There is also the potential for numerical superiority in midfield when Samardzic and Kjaergaard push higher, leaving Coppola to manage the space behind them. These movements force the opponent to defend deep and respond to constant threats in different areas of the pitch.

This 4-3-3 formation relies on high energy to maintain a high press and control the ball. It is best suited for games against teams that sit deep and struggle to handle intense pressure in their own half.
