The back line consists of only two central defenders, Artime and Alonso, who must stay compact and act as covering defenders to protect the space behind them. Because the defensive unit is so small, Artime and Alonso must be ready to step up to intercept passes or engage attackers early. This formation requires them to be highly alert to any long balls that attempt to bypass the midfield.

The midfield is the engine room of this lineup, featuring a five man unit that dominates the center of the park. Marangoni and Giusti operate as a double pivot to shield the defense, while Gallego and Olarticoechea occupy the half spaces to link the play. Sosa sits in the advanced ten role, acting as the main creator to play through the lines. Marangoni and Giusti work to win the second ball, while Gallego and Olarticoeche provide the drive to carry the ball forward and connect the defensive unit to the front three.

In the attacking phase, the team employs three attackers to stretch the opposition. Roma operates as a lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and find the feet of teammates arriving from deep. On the flanks, Albrecht and Griffa act as wide wingers who want to cut inside to create central overloads.
